doggy doesn’t know what’s coming

Eddie is very interested in Isaac’s tummy time.  He has the mistaken impression that anything on the floor belongs to him.  He is slowly learning otherwise.  Very slowly. Mmm, diapers… He doesn’t realize that Isaac has just discovered the furry thing that makes noise and smells bad (sorry, doggy hasn’t gotten a bath in a…

he’s on the move…sorta

While enjoying some tummy time last week, Isaac surprised me by attempting to roll over!  He tried his darndest, pushing his arm and leg up as hard as he could – it was so cute to hear the noises he makes :).  He’s a very verbal little guy.  While he didn’t manage to roll over,…

Aunt Rachel visits

Isaac got to meet his Aunt Rachel this week!  She arrived home from Moscow on Monday night and spent two days with us before heading back home to Louisiana. The rest of the pictures of the two of them together are on her camera – I’ll have to get them when she comes back from…

happy naked baby

Is there anything better than a naked baby? It’s been so hot here – close to 100 all week!  We’ve been running the AC nonstop, which is going to be painful when the bill gets here…but this little guy runs pretty hot and can’t sleep unless it’s cool. Speaking of sleep, he’s been doing so…

gift

Isaac got a lovely gift from Chris’ boss: Luckily, he hasn’t had to wear too many bibs just yet, but I’m sure we’ll need them soon enough!

What Mimi wants…

Memorial Day

It’s naptime, so I thought I’d hop on and share a couple more pictures :). Over Memorial Day, Chris did some yardwork, including planting an apple tree given to Isaac by my friend Beth.  While he planted, I swept the deck and Isaac hung out in his swing in the shade.  He loves being outside!…

Bath time!

Even though he’s clearly getting too big for it, Isaac still gets a bath in the bathroom sink.  He loves his bath time!  We usually save it for his fussy time at night, since it relaxes him so well.  He usually just stares into my eyes while I’m bathing him, completely chilled out :).

My happy boy

I can’t believe how much Isaac is changing every day.  Last week, when I smiled and baby-talked to him, he smiled back at me for the first time :).  It was AWESOME.  Morning is his happy smiley time, and now that he’s also been cooing a lot, I am really enjoying our morning conversations. If…
