Sledding!

This was yesterday:

Today, it was even more fun because Daddy was home!

As Isaac says, “Down, Set, GO!!”

“Okay, let’s pray before we go up again, because I’m gonna push you really fast this time!” (i.e. I have no idea what they were talking about)

He wanted to try sledding down the yard after a while.  It’s nowhere near as steep, but the idea of sledding right into the woods appealed to him for some reason.  There were considerably more trees he could run into, so we had someone at the top of the hill to push him, and someone at the bottom to make sure we didn’t end up with a Sonny Bono situation.

Mimi guards the jagged-edged log, Daddy keeps him from hitting the tree.

I hope this snow sticks around for a while, because this is too much fun!  After I went inside, Chris hopped on the sled with Isaac and went down the hill by the driveway, which of course thrilled our little man.  Every day the snow gets slicker and slicker, so the sled gets faster and faster.  And Isaac gets braver and braver!

He’s also very interested in ice skating, since I got him skates last year (with straps that fit around his boots) and we never got to go.  I can’t afford to fall or slip on ice, recovering from hip surgery, and Chris doesn’t ice skate, so I guess Mimi will have to take him out on the rink this year!  They have skating trainers that he can hold onto (like a walker for kids), so he should enjoy himself.

In this video, I asked him, “What do you want to do tomorrow?”
