Happy Thanksgiving!

It was a quiet Thanksgiving.  Chris cooked, cleaned and pretty much handled everything since I’m still hobbling around on crutches (well, I’m on one crutch now, technically). Isaac really enjoyed seeing the giant turkey cooking and begged Daddy all day for a bite. Finally, dinner time! Chillin’ after dinner…

2 1/2

If you ask Isaac how old he is, sometimes he’ll tell you he’s two.  Other times he’ll tell me he’s four.  What, we’re just skipping three now altogether??  And then the other day, talking about his neighbor friend, he told me “No, I’m nine and L. is 1!” after I told him L. was older.…

our little baseball player

This kid has talent.  He can really hit the ball, whacking it over the car, down the driveway, or directly at Mommy or Daddy, haha. It cracks me up sometimes, because he knows how to direct his hits.  He’ll line himself up and tell Daddy, “Hittin’ the ball at Mommy!”.  Let’s pretend he means to Mommy…

My big boy talks and talks and talks

Someone will actually smile when I ask him to now!  Whoohoo!  He doesn’t always smile *at* the camera, but hey, I’ll take what I can get. Isaac is 28 months now, and I wanted to write down some of the cute things he’s doing and saying lately, before I forget. He’s still enamored with Peter…

Funny things he says (and Grand Prix!)

There might have been a developmental component to explain Isaac’s trouble sleeping lately.  He’s been sleeping pretty well for the last three days (*fingers crossed that I didn’t just jinx us*), and all of a sudden his language skills have just exploded again. He’s started saying “Look Mommy” or Look Daddy” before things now: Walking…

lately (in pictures)

Someone was digging in my veggie basket the other day, stealing an onion and a beet to cook in his little kitchen.  Seriously, this boy is going to end up a chef.  I caught him today, dragging a chair over to the (big) stove with his little frying pan, looking like he was about to…

My little gymnast

I wish I knew how to use my camera better than I do.  I missed some really great shots, but included some of the blurry ones anyway, just to show how fearless my little guy is!

the potty training post

Okay, I always swore I wouldn’t post potty stuff on the internet, but I really do want to write this all down so I don’t forget how it all went.  Feel free to click away if you’re not that interested in potty talk (Although, I promise I won’t be posting actual potty or poop pictures!!!).…
