Going out

Isaac loves to take a stroller ride around the cul-de-sac every day.  It’s been pushing 100 degrees (109 with heat index!) lately, but we’re still managing a walk in the early morning or late evening.  Eddie loves to come along, too, and is learning to walk nicely alongside the stroller.  At least until he sees…

fancy duds and saying goodbye to Uncle Ben

Isaac is wearing a vintage little blue bubble suit (I think that’s what it’s called), given to him by Mimi.  Isn’t he handsome in his fancy clothes? See how well he stands?  Isaac has some veeerrrry strong legs.  He’s constantly pushing up to stand anytime his feet hit a solid surface.  It’s his favorite thing…

fun in the pool

We picked up a little baby pool yesterday.  The temps were hitting the 90’s again, and we thought it might be fun to dip Isaac’s little toes in the water.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t sunny enough outside to warm the water, so we really did just dip his toes for the briefest moment in the water.…

new toy

Isaac was given loads of new toys from a friend.  One of his favorites is a tummy-time spinner: . He doesn’t last very long on it yet, but he enjoys himself. He’s getting to a stage where he really enjoys staring at his toys, and has managed to grab the low-hanging ones on his bouncy…

Loving his aunt and uncle

Isaac has really enjoyed Uncle Ben and Aunt Rachel’s visit!  He lights up whenever they’re nearby, and is always ready with a big smile for them.  Plus, they’ve been a huge help to me – helping with dishes, cooking dinner, keeping the baby happy while I take showers or do laundry.  It’s wonderful! Big smiles…

Smiling on video

Please ignore my horrendous videographer skills…and the ridiculous baby-talk (Is there anyone who likes the sound of their own voice on camera?  I don’t!).

doggy doesn’t know what’s coming

Eddie is very interested in Isaac’s tummy time.  He has the mistaken impression that anything on the floor belongs to him.  He is slowly learning otherwise.  Very slowly. Mmm, diapers… He doesn’t realize that Isaac has just discovered the furry thing that makes noise and smells bad (sorry, doggy hasn’t gotten a bath in a…

he’s on the move…sorta

While enjoying some tummy time last week, Isaac surprised me by attempting to roll over!  He tried his darndest, pushing his arm and leg up as hard as he could – it was so cute to hear the noises he makes :).  He’s a very verbal little guy.  While he didn’t manage to roll over,…
